African expatriates have praised the ‘Summer in Qatar’ (SiQ) programme which has offered diverse activities to choose from.
The SiQ, oganised by Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) and supported by a number of partners, has provided a wide range of entertainment options for all tastes and ages since it commenced early last month. The activities are being held at malls and other venues, with the Summer Entertainment City at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center being the centerpiece.
Joy, an African mother, said, “From the Eid Al-Fitr holidays, there have been activities for everyone. My children have not felt bored at all. We have been to the Summer Entertainment City a number of times and we don’t seem to get enough of it. The good thing is that the activities are not only thrilling to the young ones but also for teenagers and adults. My teenage boy has had a lot of fun at the gaming section,” she said.
Another African expatriate said, “The activities will keep our children busy especially because we’ll spend our summer vacation here.”
