The Amir HHE Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani arrived in Nigerian capital Abuja to a grand welcome, complete with a guard of honour, on Tuesday afternoon. The Amir met with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and during discussed aspects of promoting bilateral relations and developing areas of cooperation in various fields.
During the meeting, which was held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, the Amir and Buhari discussed a number of issues of common concern as well.
The session was attended by several members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
Banquet
The Amir also attended a luncheon banquet hosted by President Bukhari in honour of His Highness and the accompanying delegation at Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
The banquet was attended by a number of ministers and senior Nigerian officials.
