The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani arrived in Abuja on Tuesday for a state visit of Nigeria.
Upon arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation were received by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Geoffrey Onyeama, HE Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja Muhammad Bello, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Mohannadi, and members of the Qatari Embassy.
During the reception, HH the Amir received an honorary key to the capital Abuja from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory as a welcome gift, followed by a welcome performance for His Highness done by a folkloric Nigerian group.
