Madhuri Dixit-Nene, a household name in India, is all set to trace her life in America in American Broadcasting Company (ABC)’s sitcom, which is currently in the writing stage.
Dixit told Mid Day, "I am going to narrate my experiences in the US, which will help in the creation of select episodes. The sitcom is inspired by my life, but it's not entirely about me. My time in America was barely influenced by the recognition I had in India. The show highlights that too." Coming to Priyanka Chopra’s involvement as a producer, Madhuri also revealed that it was American producer Mark Gordon’s idea, which she agreed to because Priyanka knows the industry as well as the West too.
"The project was conceived by us [husband Nene and Dixit] along with writer Sri Rao. Once we were sure about the idea, we approached Gordon's production company [Entertainment One] to take it forward. They loved the idea. They suggested we get Priyanka on board. We thought it was a great idea because she knows our industry and how the system works in the West too," added Madhuri. Priyanka Chopra can be seen in ABC's sitcom 'Quantico 3', in which she plays Alex Parrish.
